Text of poem: Dear Heavenly Father, Today we celebrate with joy the birthday of your Son, and though it s such a festive time I really miss loved ones. I know they are in Heaven now without a single care, but since you re listening, Lord, I know you ll hear my humble prayer. I miss the many Christmases we d celebrate each year, and there s an empty place within my heart without them here. So I would like to ask if You would let my loved ones know that Christmas isn t quite the same as not so long ago. I m looking forward to the day when we are reunited, and when I think of what s in store, I really get excited. So please forgive me, Lord today, for feeling kind of blue, but thankful that my loved ones spend their Christmases with You. Poem by Alda Maria
